/countries shows every Telegram ad geo-tagged by the observer-pool region — wherever an ad served. /geos applies a stricter audience-delivery filter: the observer must have caught the ad in a channel whose primary language aligns with the country (e.g. CZ observer in cs-language channel). This excludes global-blast diaspora ads and surfaces only locally-targeted Telegram advertising.
Audience count is the strong signal — combined region × channel.lang match (48,746 total locally-delivered creatives). Targeted count is the advertiser-intent signal — creatives where the advertiser set geo metadata explicitly (194,191 total). Russian-speaking CIS markets (BY/MD/KG/TJ/GE/AM) often show audience=0 because channels run in Russian, not the local language — there the intent count is the only reliable signal.
Top 5 by audience-delivery (locally-targeted creatives): Russia (23,795), India (2,681), Iran (1,457), Indonesia (951), Myanmar (0). Coverage is strongest where Telegram Ads cabinets are most active and channel-language alignment with country is high. Drill into /geos/<cc> for per-country advertiser deep-dives and niche breakdown.

Yes — see /info/audience for the audience-region rules, and /info/geo for advertiser-intent geo. The same logic powers https://tgadsspy.com/api/v1/geos (programmatic access, CC-BY-4.0). Each impression record exposes both the observer region and the channel language so downstream consumers can re-derive the join on their side.
